It will be difficult to name all of these stripes because many combinations of balanced and unbalanced stripes can be seen on fabrics. Some stripes cannot even be named &#8211; they can be very subtle, and will be part of the weave and will be formed by a play of light on alternate shiny and matte finishes on the fabric. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-base-background-color has-background\">There are fabrics that are only available striped &#8211; what are those striped fabrics called? <a href=\"https:\/\/sewguide.com\/plaid-fabric\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"27876\"><strong>Tartan<\/strong><\/a> is a fabric that is composed of stripes. <strong>Peking silk <\/strong>has self toned subtle stripes as part of its weave (warp stripes). <strong>Gingham fabric<\/strong> has wide alternately white and dark stripes. <strong>Cotton stripe fabrics <\/strong>are 100% cotton fabrics with striped pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">The commonly seen stripe patterns on fabrics are Hairline stripes, dress stripes, pinstripes, candy stripes, bengal stripes, Awning stripes, barcode stripes, Bayadere stripes, chevron stripes, regimental stripes, roman stripes, serpentine stripes, shadow stripes, breton stripes, chalk stripes, convict stripes, and peking stripes.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">There are some common stripes which you must have seen repeatedly on your clothes. This is a playful type of stripes with vivid and bold multicolors. These stripes can have either a broadening effect on the figure or a narrowing effect depending on the way it is positioned. If it is vertically placed these stripes can make you look taller. These stripes bring a softness to the design because of its curvy nature.
